Covid-19 Update

Mask & Face Coverings:

Masking and face coverings are no longer mandatory as per the new provincial guidelines.  We know everyone has their preferences in regards to masking, and we ask that everyone is respectful of each person’s individual choice in doing what makes them feel the most comfortable.

COVID-19 Screening:

The 2021 golf season will follow a very similar protocol as the 2020 golf season.  Please refer to the Ontario COVID-19 Screening Tool prior to your round.  If you are experiencing any of the symptoms listed, we ask that you please stay home and follow the guidelines listed on the screening tool.  We appreciate your co-operation in following these safety measures and appreciate your patience and understanding with the ever-changing COVID-19 situation.

Mask Requirement

Masks must be worn at all times indoors: checking in for golf, food & beverage purchases, and while in the washrooms.  In addition, as per new provincial regulations, masks are required if you are riding in a power cart with a playing partner not from your own household.

During this current shutdown, there is a maximum outdoor gathering limit of 5 people. We ask that you do not participate in pre or post-game gatherings at the course.  Due to the restrictions in place during the Stay-at-Home order, we are unable to serve beverages to golfers after your round is complete. We ask that following your round, you report directly to your vehicles and depart the facility.

MAY 15, 2020

Before Your Round

We’ve introduced measures and guidelines to protect the health of our guests and employees. These align with Provincial Health regulations for physical distancing (minimum two club-lengths — 6 feet apart) and sanitation practices to help our golf course operate safely. All golfers must familiarize themselves with these guidelines and adhere to all health and safety practices during their visit.

Golfers are required to book & pay in advance online or in the pro shop using a credit card or debit card. We will have a limited number of merchandise items such as tees and golf balls available for purchase in the pro shop; credit and debit cards are preferred; cash will be accepted only when absolutely necessary.

Golfers check in at the pro shop at the usual entrance on the west side of the building. Only one person per cash register will be allowed inside the pro shop, with the others waiting outside and maintaining proper distances. Golfers must show proof of online payment, or pay using either a credit or debit card. Upon check-in, golfers will be reminded of the importance of proper social distancing throughout the round. You will be given one pencil and one scorecard by a staff member. Please wait in your vehicle up until 15 minutes prior to your tee time in order to prevent over-crowding at the pro shop entrance. We encourage any golfers who enter the pro shop to wear a mask when checking-in.

Golf Carts

Golfers may: (a) walk and carry their own clubs, (b) take a golf cart, if available, with a limit of one person per cart (2 per cart if they are from the same household), or (c) bring their own pull cart.

A new mandate by the Ontario Government states that masks are now required while riding in power carts. Our power carts are available for shared use, with cart dividers installed in each cart.  If you reside in the same household, a mask is not required while riding on the cart.  If you do not reside in the same household as your playing partner, then you must wear a mask while riding in the cart together.

Golf carts will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis. All golf carts will be sanitized both before and after use.

Club Rental & Pull Cart Rental

Golfers must bring their own clubs, as no rental sets are available. The sharing of golf clubs is not allowed. Golfers may use their own pull cart or rent a pull cart from the pro shop.  All pull cart handles will be sanitized after each use.

Non-Playing Guests

Non-playing guests are not allowed to walk or ride with golfers.

Driving Range

The driving range is open. Each hitting station will be set up about ten feet apart, mats only (hitting off the turf is suspended until further notice); the balls will be sanitized every day.

During Your Round – Groups

Golfers may play in groups of up to four players and are required to maintain proper social distancing throughout the round.

On-course Changes – Flagstick & Cups

Flagsticks remain in the holes at all times and are not to be touched at any time. We have installed a device that will allow you to easily retrieve the ball without touching the flagstick.

Food and Beverage Service

We offer limited food & alcoholic beverage items for purchase and will be operating similar to takeout service at a restaurant. There will be no dine-in or sit-down service.

Outdoor Patio

The use of our Outdoor Patio is not allowed during the current shutdown.  We ask that you do not gather on the patio following your round.

When the patio is allowed to open, the following restrictions will apply:  All tables will have a maximum of 4 people per table.  Please do not congregate with other tables on the patio.  Each table will be spaced out at a minimum of 2 meters apart from other tables.  Please follow all posted signage and safety regulations.

New entrance will be from the north door off the parking lot (no access from inside the pro shop). Restroom facilities will be open, with a limit of one person at a time using each washroom, and sanitized regularly.  Supplies to disinfect any touchpoints in the restroom, before and/or after use, are available in each restroom in case Golfers wish to use them. The washrooms on the course will also be open, and will be maintained and may be used is a similar fashion.

After Your Round

We ask that all golfers report back to their vehicles after their round. Cart drop off and exit to the parking lot are on the east side of the pro shop building.

Thank you in advance for your co-operation. Our goal is to continue to provide each of you with a top-notch golf experience, even if the way we do it is slightly different than what we are used to. We hope you all continue to stay safe and enjoy your time spent at Seven Lakes Championship Golf.
